We've made a whole bunch of updates that make the app lovely to use, if I may say so myself. Could we have done without the dark mode until we're profitable? Sure. That's even arguably the right thing to do. At least that's the startup wisdom that's passed around. But we ourselves use Hyperclast all day everyday, so we couldn't resist making it look better too. Same deal with the command palette. It's totally a "nice to have", but it's so nice, and we had to have it!

What's New

  • Command Palette (mapped to Cmd / Ctrl k)
  • Performance improvements for very large pages
  • Optional view-only link for pages
    • Now you can share pages with people who aren't even Hyperclast users yet
  • CLI
    • Sanitize the data being piped into our app
    • Store data in a temp file. If the upload fails, this enables retries
  • Improve how the website looks on mobile
  • Improve plugin stability
  • Implement dark mode
  • Better UX for code blocks

What's Next

  • Version control
    • You don't need to be a developer to wrap your head around it. We're empowering everyone!
  • Improved sharing model
    • All the powerful sharing features and fine control you'd expect in a business app, with the intuitiveness and ease of use of a consumer app
